CONSUMER PRICES fell -0.1% in Metropole in October (+0.2% including the French Overseas Departments ) and moved down to +0.7% in one year  (+1.6% including the French Overseas Departments).

In November, food prices climbed +0.5% inflated by fresh produce +2% price index gain and tobacco +4.3%, roughly equal to 0.40 cents increase per pack of cigarette.
Manufactured products prices -0.2% price index cut contributed in pushing the index down thanks to clothing and shoes -0.4% price index cut along with each health products, and other manufactured products -0.1% price index declines.
Energy prices stayed sustained and rose +9% reflecting crude oil prices gain (+3% to USD 85.2 per barrel and +4.9% in Euro to 62.4) on top of the Euro's loss against currencies due to fears of contagion over Ireland's financial bail-out.
The services price index performed equally to manufactured products thanks to transport and communication -0.9% price decline as rent-water and garbage collection prices stayed nearly unchanged or +0.1% while the health services price tag gained +0.2%.

In one year, food prices climbed a steep +0.9% as fresh product prices soared +7.2% and tobacco prices grew mechanically +5.8%. Manufactured product prices fell -0.1% with health product prices -1.9% price cut. Energy prices +10% increase accounted for the index strongest price index gain due to oil products +12.2% increase while services +1.4% price index rise reflected substantial price increases led by rent and associated services +1.5%, health services +0.5%, and other services +2% pushed up by car insurance +6.2% home insurance +5.2% and health insurance +4.8%. Transport and communication -0.4% price index cut however offset that component's higher prices.  On the same period, the index most inflationary components included liquid combustibles +19.9%, residential gas +13.7%, and vegetables +5.5%
