PSA 2011 Commercial Sales

PSA Group has opted for more globalization, the « right strategy » according to the Group's communication as group sales outside Europe accounted for 42% of 2011 consolidated total, a ten percentage point increase in three years. By comparison, European sales fell- 6.8% in 2011.
In Latin America, (LATAM) group sales beat the 300 000 units for the first time to 326 000 vehicles and market share was solid at 5.5% from 5.4% in 2010. In China, sales rose +3.3% with a 3.4% market penetration and a total 404 000 units sold. In Russia, car sales increased +35%, and market share stood at 2.7%.
The Group's up market strategy such as the launch of the Peugeot 508 and the latest Citroen DS4, was rewarded by a larger premium vehicles sales proportion, 18% of the total compared with 13% in 2010.
The Group's positive 2012 outlook stands on the introduction of four new models, a « marketing offensive » the Peugeot 4008 and 208 and the Citroën C4 Aircross and DS5 – along with six restyled models – the Peugeot 107, Partner and Expert and the Citroën C1, Berlingo and Jumpy, as the European auto market slow down « is expected to continue«. In 2012 « the year of the hybrid« for the Group, four vehicles equipped with hybrid diesel powertrains will be launched: the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4, Citroën DS5 HYbrid4, Peugeot 508 HYbrid4 sedan and Peugeot 508 RXH. Last year, PSA Citroen had already retained its environmental leadership with 23.8% market share in the under 110g of CO2/km segment in Europe. In the Spring, the Peugeot 308 and Citroën's DS will also be introduced in February on the LATAM market.
